This was taken in the hotel bar of the Holiday Inn, Plymouth, UK on 31st August 1984 following Depeche Mode’s performance at The Academy, Plymouth which was part of BBC’s “On The Road” series. Dave Gahan gave me the tickets for this show the week before, when I asked for his autograph outside Broadcasting House, London following his appearance on Radio 1 that evening. I had the best view at the show, and an equally brilliant view of the after-show party!
