Some of you might have heard this in an episode of my Mode podcast, but I just uploaded it to my soundcloud for people to check out. It's pretty interesting if not for the time it happened. Have a listen, let's discuss it.

Ok, the title makes it sound a little more harsh then it really is... though he does say that.

Back in 1990 Peter Hook appeared on early version of the KROQ show Love Lines with, then host, Poorman. He was a guest on the show promoting his side project Revenge when he made the remark that he thought "Enjoy The Silence" from Depeche Mode was a rip off of New Order's "Touched By The Hand Of God". In the clip they play both songs back to back to compare the two. His opinion goes from complete rip off to similar bass sequencing. Have a listen and you be the judge. If anything, it's a fun time capsule item.

This clip was edited down from a 40 min appearance with just the Depeche Mode related conversation. I included it on the 5th installment of my Breathing In Fumes podcast and here it is on it's own for you to check out.
