"Rather than script my own review based on my only listen a few months back - my first impressions were very similar I have to say. I felt very much the same way about the songs as you did. Underwhelmed was exactly how I felt although I did wonder if more exposure to it would help it grow within me, a la revolution. Overall I'd add that I felt the production was clean, crisp and clear although the album is generally void of the standard DM hook, choruses and rousing atmospheres. For me it had a very 'soulsavers' vibe to it. Almost Soulsavers songs, as produced by DM."
"I think it has a soulsavers pace about it, albeit a DM sound if that makes sense. I often think that Soulsavers' lyrics (and vocal melody) don't flow well within the songs, and I felt the same about Spirit."
