Today a musicvideo popped up online, with no name, no description, no tags, just the (familiar?) title “Let Me Down” and Christian Eigner in the video thumbnails, uploaded by a mysterious ‘Opien2080′. Luckily the uploader’s avatar also had the name “opien” in it, which quickly led me to http://www.opien.com. The site reveals that Nico Stössl (who also assisted Dave Gahan on his Hourglass) and Christian Eigner have written a new album called Atlanta, on which they “pay tribute to artists they are influenced by and incorporate their own unique style of sound to create a pure and distinct vibe without incorporating digital components or pre-recorded tracks.” Their project is managed by Daryl Bamonte’s team. The music video for presumably their new single “Let Me Down” shows Stössl, Eigner, Peter Gordeno and some other dude rocking in a staircase. Incidentally, some of the tags hidden within their site also include “Dave Gahan” and “Andrew Philpott”, but whether these guys are actually involved remains to be seen!
